For iPhone, iPad & Mac
OneTwo Notes is the notes app for everything that belongs to a topic: formatted text, checklists, photos, scanned documents, hand sketches and PDFs. It all lives in one note and it is all searchable, even the text on your photos.
A small notes app and three tools that run entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server. The text recognition when scanning is a simulation, the encryption is real. The notes app is a simplified imitation: layout, labels and scope of the real app differ.
Folders and hashtags on the left, the list in the middle, the note on the right. Try the special features.
Note: here the lock really encrypts (PBKDF2 and AES-GCM in the browser). Remember the password: a forgotten password cannot be recovered, not in the app either. Your notes stay in this browser.
This is how the app protects locked notes: a key is derived from your password (PBKDF2) and the content is encrypted with AES-GCM. Try it here with real encryption. Nothing is sent.
A forgotten password cannot be recovered. That is by design, in the app too. So keep a reminder that only you understand.
Four starter notes for typical cases. Take one into the demo app or copy it as text.
Tick off what you have done. Your progress stays in this browser only.
OneTwo Notes reads the text in images right on the device. Search finds the invoice number even if it only appears on a scanned receipt.
Several pages in one pass, with the perspective straightened automatically.
Point the camera at text and take it straight into the note.
Photos and scans become searchable. The text does not leave your device for this.
Everything that belongs to a topic lives in one note.
Formatted text, checklists, photos, scanned documents, hand sketches and PDFs sit together and are searchable together, even the text on your photos. It saves automatically.
Title, headings, bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, superscript and subscript, code, quote and horizontal rule, plus bulleted lists, numbered lists and checklists.
Draw with Apple Pencil or finger on transparent, white, grid, lined or dotted paper.
Link notes to each other and see which notes point to the current one.
Folders with subfolders, saved filters that work like smart folders, #hashtags in the text and seven color tags.
Pin what matters to the top, sort by date or name. “All Attachments” shows images and sketches from all notes. Deleted notes stay in the trash for 30 days.
Lock individual notes with a password, with Face ID or Touch ID if you like. Text, images and sketches are encrypted with AES-GCM, on the device and in iCloud.
Widgets for quick note, pinned notes, folders or tags and recently edited notes. A quick note in Control Center, plus Spotlight, Shortcuts and Siri.
Share or print as PDF, export as RTF, RTFD with images or PDF, import from RTF, text and Markdown files.
You lock individual notes, not the whole app. What is locked is encrypted.
You choose the password yourself. There is no preset password.
Text, images and sketches of a locked note are encrypted with AES-GCM. The key is derived from your password.
Encryption happens on the device and in iCloud too. The content of locked notes never sits anywhere in plain text; only the note’s name stays visible in the list.
If you like, you additionally open locked notes with Face ID or Touch ID.
A forgotten password cannot be recovered. That is by design.
The vault in your browser shows what happens when you lock.
You can edit sketches and choose color schemes on iPhone and iPad. The Mac shows sketches and uses the system colors. Requirements: iOS and iPadOS 18 or macOS 15 or later. There is no Apple Watch app.
The Mac version is a native app of its own, not a scaled-up iPad interface.
Your notes sync between iPhone, iPad and Mac through your private iCloud database. If the same note was changed differently on two devices, the app asks whether your local version stays or the cloud version applies. Nothing is silently overwritten. The demo simplifies this dialog:
Trip to Lisbon Flight on Friday
Trip to Lisbon Flight on Saturday
You turn iCloud sync on and off per device (Settings › iCloud). Without iCloud everything stays on this device.
The app shows what was synced, what is still pending and whether there are conflicts or errors. At the press of a button it restarts the sync.
Start on the iPhone, keep writing on the iPad or Mac.
There is no analytics and no AI service. Without iCloud everything stays on your device.
The text in your images is recognized right on the device. Nothing goes to the internet for this.
With iCloud, notes sync through your private iCloud database. The developer has no access.
Everything else is in the privacy policy.
One-time · No subscription · No in-app purchases
